All I know Is That I Know Nothing
I am 19 years old soon to be 20 in less than a month. I still feel like like I don't know who I am. In my desperate attempts to find myself and control the perceptions people have about me, I decided to dedicate a section here in my blog to talk about myself. Even though that's the most narcissistic thing I've ever said, I want to feel like I have somewhat in control over my identity in the virtual world. The way social media works doesn't give people the outlet to be completely themselves but rather the version they want others to perceive. That could be good to some extent but it is exhausting and I just want to find myself before trying to be someone else. From now on, I will list the things I'm certain about me. Since I am an ever-changing human, I will add to the list and also edit the previous ones.
These are the things I know for a fact about myself:
- 10/17/19: I think space is the most overwhelming thing. Every time I think about space or just picture it in my head I get this feeling of emptiness and, of course, I don't like it so I erase it and move on with my life. I guess it's the fear of the unknown or thinking about how fragile we are.
- 10/17/19: Love is the most important thing in my life. My friends. My family. My goal in life is to love unconditionally and so deeply that I am not afraid someone will break my heart because it's worth it a the end. I hope everyone who's in my life also loves me and smiles when they remember me every time someone says my name.
- 10/17/19: I love coffee and coffee shops. My favorite hobby is to go to different coffee shops and rate their coffees, environment, etc. In fact, I think I'm going to start a little tour guide for coffee in Gainesville so stay tuned :) Also, coffee shops inspire me in a whole new level; I can be so productive and get all my work done but also write poems and think of new ideas to shoot. My favorite coffee shop is Curia On The Drag in case you are ever in the mood but that might be subject to change. (edit 02/22/20: still my favorite)
